Automatic Overdraft Transfer
SCCU's Automatic Overdraft Transfer Service allows you to avoid non sufficient funds (NSF) charges by allowing SCCU to automatically transfer money from a specified SCCU account in the event you overdraft your account. A fee may apply; view our Fee Schedule for more information.
There is no monthly or annual fee for this service. You will only be charged when an overdraft occurs. However, you must request Automatic Overdraft Transfer. Ask at any branch or call the Member Service Center.
All SCCU checking accounts use the associated share savings account as the primary overdraft source, however, additional overdraft sources can be used provided you are an authorized signer on both accounts.
Another option is to use your SCCU Visa® Credit Card as an overdraft source. Funds can be automatically transferred from your credit card to your checking account when you fall short. No more non-sufficient funds charges or embarrassing card denials! When you use your SCCU credit card as an overdraft source, any NSF occurrences will result in a $100 cash advance.
To help you find out about any NSF occurrences as quickly as possible, we suggest setting up a Transaction Alert for your credit card account so that you will receive a message any time there is a transaction of $100 or more on your credit card account.
* Automatic Overdraft Transfer Fee (to cover share drafts, automatic payments, transfer of funds and point-of-sale) is a per transfer fee based on your Member Rewards level. Learn more about SCCU's Member Rewards Program.
