Space Coast Saturn did all the work! All we had to do was sign some paperwork - including a form to access our "rebate money" accrued by using our VISA card. The SCCU basically runs all our financial business (checking, savings, VISA, debit, home loan, and now car loan) and we couldn't be happier! Thank you, SCCU!

I originally asked the car dealership to set me up with a lender offering the lowest interest rate. When we got to closing, I was surprised to see that the lender charged a $100 application fee. Being an existing customer of SCCU, you did not charge me an application fee. You did not have the lowest interest rate, but it was much more convenient for me to borrow through you than any other lender. It's also more convenient for me to make my mothly payments by one click transfer from my checking account to my auto loan account. The slightly higer interest rate is a small price to pay for the convenience!

Had originally applied for a loan over the internet after hours and was promptly called back the next afternoon, but I had (unexpectedly) already bought the car the next morning - the dealership did all the arrangement with the credit union. It was very painless to deal with the financing - wish it were that easy with the car sales people :-)

Chris never returned calls. He was the person who intially helped me. Consequently, We were not able to complete the transaction the way it was intented. When applying for reward rebates it was extremely difficult. It took almost a month and approximately 9 different phone calls, 6 different people, two trips to the bank, inability for my wife to handle matters due to bank policy (even though she was on the credit card account, and over 10 hours (HOLD) on six different occasions to process one simple request; which was to apply credit of reward points. It was torture! In addition the bank rate and the dealership rate were different. We closed the deal after banking hours on a weekend and it just made matters worse.

Even though I was going through the dealer to apply for the loan, Sccu answered all my questions and gave me some great suggestions on how to get the best deal and how to avoid "hidden fees". Because of using SCCU, I was able to get Sccu's low rates and I didn't have to pay any dealer fees for the loan, because the knew I could just go to the bank for the loan. However, doing all the work at one stop was more convenient. I would definitely reccommend Sccu to family/friends. I really appreciated the help from Sccu, even though they knew I would be applying for loan through the dealer.

Loan dept needs some working on. Have some underwriters to stay till the time most car dealerships close. My loan got all mixed up due to the underwriters going home at 6:00 pm on a Friday night. I had my loan pre-approved before I went to get a car. I needed 3,000 more. Called Space Coast the underwriters, they had all ready went home at for the night. It was 5:45 on a Friday night. I had to go with another lender to take my car home. Space Coast came through on following Monday and bought the loan from the other lender. AND gave me a better interest rate which I am pleased. This is my third vehicle purchase from Space Coast. I just never ran into this problem before. And Space Coast never got back with me wither or not if they were going to pick up the loan or not. Didn't find this out till about week later that my car was through Space Coast. The car dealership called me and said I though you were going through Chase and not Space Coast. The car dealership told me that Space Coast bought the loan and Space Coast has my loan. I am please with the better rate by far. But this thing could of ALL avoided by just staying a little later then 5:45 on Friday night.

I am always impressed with the way my business is handled at SCCU. That's why I was very ready to get my car loan through SCCU and away from the bank I had previously. I know how easy everything is at SCCU! The reps are ALWAYS courteous, and it feels more like calling over to a friends house, than calling a business. There was a little confusion with my loan amount, and when I phoned to get clarification, the rep was very friendly, and knowledgable. You can always hear when someone talks on the phone with a smile. I guess working at SCCU must be a great thing, because the reps always sound so happy to take your call! Thanks.

Maybe better communication between the dealer and SCCU about the down payment coming from the VISA rebate. The VISA rebate, which the dealer showed as a down payment, was taken from my checking account rather than the VISA rebate.

I used what I had accumulated and it helped out a lot.I am not sure if it was because of the bank or the dealership but I had to wait about 3 days to see if my dad had to be a co-signer. I was very very very unhappy when I was told by Southeastern Honda that they WOULD NOT honor the price that they quoted me for the car I was purchasing unless I did my financing through them and not on my own through the call center. I had been preapproved and working with Meredith Vernon (who provided EXCELLENT service)and was on my way to get my check when the dealership REFUSED to accept it. I felt horrible. Meredith worked so hard for me and didn't earn a dime on it when she did all of the work. I didn't appreciate the greediness of the dealership nor the position they put me and my husband in. Meredith Vernon in auto loans rocks!!
