I find the loan rates very competitive after shopping around, and the service was efficient. My first loan with SCCU, but probably not my last. When I arrived at the branch to sign papers & pickup the loan, had to wait for 10-15 minutes. A minor inconvenience, but not what I expected.

Handled most of the process over the phone, so when I went into the branch, it was about a half hour to complete the loan. Very friendly and helpful staff and the terms were the best I found compared to several sources.

The SCCU staff was very helpful but it was frustrating to be doing this mostly over the phone and long distance. It dragged out the entire process a lot longer than if it had all been done local to SCCU. This was done long distance and the dealership was out of state and there was a great deal of confusion on their part and things needed to be coordinated. Also some of the paperwork had to be overnighted which was expensive.

Just coming in and asking for a lower rate that may be available on my existing loan [started 6 mo. ago], and then being given a 1% reduction in my interest rate with no questions, no hesitations, no hassels and no "hidden charges or fees", was not only refreshing, but also amazing! Gina explained I could do the whole deal with one phone call, and then come in and sign the papers. It was the easiest bank or credit transaction I think I have ever experienced. Gina, and the person on the phone [sorry I don't have the name] were great!

The loan application time was excellent. When we wnt to close our loan we had an appointment at the Titusville Branch and had to wait over 30 minutes to be seen. When another customer walked in and was taken immediatly we realized that there was no sign in sheet and you had to announce yourself to a teller to get a customer service person to help. Once we were seated it was very fast. It seems that SCCU has procedures in place for fast efficient service, they just need to be followed up with some customer service.

We found the car we wanted and called the auto loan department in Melbourne,right away. The loan officer advised us that we were pre-approved for the loan amount we needed. As soon as the dealership faxed the paperwork to SCCU, our loan officer took care of everything. All we had to do was sign the paperwork at the SCCU of our choice. The whole process was hassel free.

The process was extremely simply. Keep up the good work. The only thing I would recommend is to acknowledge the people coming into the customer service area to sign loan papers so they know the correct person will be with them shortly.I had to wait 10 minutes before the person at the desk who was talking to a customer about their children acknowledged me standing and said I would have to get in line that she was not from that department and could not help me. That was the only frustrating part. All in all everything else was great.

I and the seller was outraged to find out that he had to allow me to register the vehicle in my name before receiving a check from the bank. In fact, the registration office clerk said that was illegal. I should not be able to register a vehicle and take title for a vehicle I did not pay for. You should talk to Americu Bank in NEW YORK... they got a VERY SATISFIED rating for the same type of service and I purchased the vehicle from Florida too. You could not get better in any area of your serviced accept the way you handle titles and auto loans from individuals. To have the seller allow me to register, title and pay taxes on the vehicle prior to giving him/her full payment is absurd.

The overall experience was quite simple and organized. I am very happy I went through SCCU for my auto loan. Perhaps I did not ask the right questions, but there was some initial confusion concerning the actual payment of the loan. I was not told it would be "direct withdrawal" from the savings account.
