When my personal information was put into the final document other numbers were transposed with my phone number. This made it difficult for any one using this information to contact me. i.e. appraiser , title co.

I called SEVERAL times asking about the balance for the escrow from the previous SCCU home loan and was given a different answer each time. These answers came from Customer Service as well as the loan processor. Seems like you need a memo for how that type of thing is handled.

After the closing, the Title company wrote me a check. I deposited the check into my SCCU share draft account. There was a 15 business day hold put on the deposit for all but $5000. I would like to see a better method of getting the money into the share draft account without the hold.

The SCCU computor security system would not allow me to return documents and the FAX system was unreponsive, this could have been a problem with my FAX machine also. Other than that the application process was smooth.

I made my application during the time that the prime lending rate was reduced to 2%. Unfortunately, I had to play the "watch the rate" game and did not lock in at the lowest rate. However, having dealt with SCCU before for a mortgage, I knew the great service and convenience of one click transfer to make my monthly payment would more than make up for the 1/4% interest rate increase.
