Was not at all happy that my funds were held for 10 business days. In the electronic age, this is unacceptable. Better explanations as to what was required to open account. Then when I recieved my debit card and called to activate it, the person told me it already was! I knew that was impossible, but they insisted. Then when I tried to use it, it kept getting denied. I then call customer service and they activated it online and it worked. This caused a great deal of fristration on my part.

We were not informed that both my husband and i had to be present to sign the signature cards. I signed the card at account opening and later my husband went to sign. That is when we found out we both had to be present even though I had already signed the card. Also, no one ever asked me who the friend or relative was who referred me. I am going to follow up with this matter because it is my understanding that he should receive a $25 award. Also, checks were not ordered at the time I set up my account despite me telling the agent that we needed them. I had to call to request them about 2 weeks later.

Setting up my account was very impersonal and rather disconcerting. When you are in the credit union in person, it's very impersonal to be sent to a bank of phones to provide very personal information. Further, that those phones are not enclosed and EVERYONE in the bank can hear your conversation, it is a very poor approach, especially if this is the customer's first interaction with the credit union. In today's age of identity theft, I'm very surprised that you make your customers provide their social security number, etc. in this fashion.

As a member I have never had any "problem" not be resolved quickly and efficiently! Unlike dealing with a bank I feel like I am the president of the Credit Union and get the respect and courtesy that should be afforded to everyone. Keep up the great work and I continue to look forward to a wonderful experience.

I do have an issue with the manner in which the statements are laid out. They are very hard to read; deciphering which amount goes with which line item is difficult. Either changing the layout, or adding grid-lines to section off each transaction would be extremely helpful.

    An Express Services Associate can help you select the checking account that best meets your needs. Deposit Account services are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 6:30 pm and Saturdays 9 am - 3 pm.

    Current SCCU Members:

    At this time, online account opening is not available for checking. Please call Express Services.

    Prospective SCCU Members:

    Submit a secure Online Membership Application and indicate which checking account you would like to open. An Express Services Associate will contact you by close of the next business day to complete the application process. NOTE: the online application is not required; you may call Express Services and apply for membership and open your checking account over the phone.

  3. At Any Branch

    Visit any of SCCU's 32 convenient branch locations. You'll speak to an Express Services Associate using the in-branch phone located in a private Express Booth, and can complete all of the paperwork with your Branch Member Service Specialist immediately after your call.
