I also opened up an account because of this loan and am now using SCCU as my main banking institution. However, I was suppose to get up to $100 for opening the account or getting the loan and have not received anything, my friend who refered me did get the amount she was promised credited to her account.

we (my wife and I ) were members of the "Teachers Federal Credit Union" on Long Island in New York for over 35 years and have preferred credit unions over commercial banks ever since. We feel a "kinship" with credit unions that did'nt exist for us during our brief involvement with commercial banks!!

I was extremely happy with the service I received when I refinanced both of our auto loans. We were able to reduce the monthly payments on both cars while shortening both loan terms and lowering both interest rate.s The SCCU representative was very helpful and patient with me despite all of my questions. I selected SCCU for refinancing for two reasons. One was to consolidate all of my banking at SCCU because I have found no other financial institution that is more customer oriented. The other reason was because the SCCU representative I spoke with was informative without being pushy.

I do want to say, however, that all the people I dealt with were personable with the exception of one in the Fort Worth office. But the most frustrating thing was not being able to get to the same person twice when calling, even though that person gave me his/her extension, thus having to relate the whole story each time I called.

Overall, it was a positive experience, but a little thin on follow-up. Basically, once I got the loan, I heard nothing from SCCU until I got my bank statement. At the least, I would have expected a written acknowledgment of our newly established relationship.

I am sorry to say that I have forgotten the name of the branch manager on Barnes in Rockledge, but after having some miss communications with the a teller or two she stepped in and went the extra mile to make sure that everything was right (which it wasn't) and talked to several people on the phone to correct the issues. I would recommend her to anyone that I come in contact with.

Not only did I get a lower rate, I also refinance my 2nd mortgage, lower and FIXED my rate, and everything was done within a 48 hour turn-around time.
